Design of a terrace in the center of Warsaw. Night panorama and geometry (70 m²).

The realization “Garden on Terrace 001” is the quintessence of metropolitan style. We designed this 70-square-meter terrace in the center of Warsaw as an elegant space overlooking the modern skyscrapers of the capital. Our goal was to create an interior that is attractive both during the day and at night, yet not competing with the bustling city life in the background.

Spatial layout. The shape of the letter “L”

We had to deal with the unusual shape of the terrace, resembling the letter “L”.

  • The walkway: we used the narrower part as a striking walkway. The rhythm here is given by repetitive sequences of pots and plants.
  • Relaxation area: in the wider part we created a place for relaxation. Thanks to this treatment, despite the elongated shape, the terrace is fully functional and does not give the impression of a “corridor”.

Materials and vegetation. Urban minimalism

In the choice of materials, we opted for cool elegance broken by the warmth of wood.

  • A play of contrasts: we juxtaposed the wooden terrace surface with white pebbles. They brighten the shaded parts and add lightness to the composition.
  • Pots: We chose simple, geometric forms of pots in raw stainless steel and white finishes. They provide a neutral background for the greenery.
  • Vegetation: we opted for species with a compact habit, resistant to harsh conditions at altitude (wind, sun) and low maintenance.

Lighting. Night scenery

In designing this garden, we placed great emphasis on illumination. After dark, spotlights in the pots bring out the texture of the plants. They create an intimate atmosphere. The soft light on the terrace harmonizes with the lights of the skyscrapers (view of Zlota 44 and Cosmopolitan), turning this garden into a private vantage point.
